Making a Pencil Sling Shot with Office Supplies

Got some time on your hands? Want to make a sling shot?

Here are the materials needed:

  • Two Erasers
  • Scissors
  • Two Full Size Pencils
  • One Golf Sized Pencil
  • Two Post It Notes
  • Rubber Bands
Basic Form of the Sling Shot
Step One: Attach the First Rubber Band
Center the two pencils over the erasers, when you attach the Rubber Band
Put the smaller pencils between the two erasers, creating a Y.
Add a second rubber band above the Golf Pencil
Cut the larger, springy rubber band.
Select two Post it Notes
Stack the two Post it notes and then fold them in half

Fold over about half an inch the sides of the Post It.
Cut two small slots where you have folded the two ends over.
Thread the cut rubber band through the two slots on the Post It notes.

Put a rubber band on each pencil near the ferrule

Thread one end of the cut rubber band through one of the rubber bands wrapped around the pencil.
Attach another rubber band over the first one, securing the cut rubber band end. Repeat for the other side.
Finished Sling Shot made from office supplies. (I added additional rubber bands as needed)
